The Community Energy Efficiency Program (CEEP) worked with local community organisations to ‘t ackle fuel poverty through providing information advice and referrals, to change the targets groups’ behavior and capabilities to increase energy efficiency in their households’.
CEEP is working with community groups in the Newry and Mourne, Banbridge & Craigavon and Tyrone and Dungannon areas. We have delivered over 38 workshops promoting information on how to save energy and money starting at home:

The recruitment and launch of NEACity and Guilds Energy Awareness 6176 took place across the Southern Board area during 2007-2008. Nine individuals were selected for Energy Advisor Training provided by National Energy Action and received qualification certificates, NVQ Level 2. During the third year of the programme, CEEP will support qualified Energy Advisors to work with groups in their local areas in Armagh and South Tyrone, and recruit three new participants for the Accredited Energy Advice training.
